2012 – Street Fashion Museum
Category:
Street Fashion Museum. Street Fashion Then and Now
The fashion show staged in the summer of 2012 in the Kiscell Museum conjured up the street wear of the past one hundred years, exhibiting the everyday costumes of people from the S-shaped silhouette of the 1900s through the bell hat, barrel skirt and the mini-skirt craze to the trends of the 2010s. Visitors could get acquainted with typical garments of various periods kept in the museum collection and enjoy the comparison of former and current street wear in pictures. Videos and interviews introduced the representatives of today’s street fashion and the visitors could also enrich the contemporary collection of the museum with their own fashion photos, relics. The exhibition was curated by Ildikó Simonovics.
